Ed Smith's experience in media production and marketing dates back to 1983. His experience has included TV production management and all phases of production for Fortune 500 Companies such as Pizza Hut, Rent-A-Center, Thorn EMI and Cessna Aircraft Corporation-- as well as hundreds of local and regional clients.
Ed has traveled across the United States and to Israel to produce award-winning projects. In addition, Ed Smith has been involved in numerous live televised events for NBC, CBS, Creative Sports Marketing and ESPN. He also worked as the Assistant Promotion Director for Albuquerque's CBS Affiliate, KRQE-TV.
In 2003, Ed Smith photographed and produced a 30 minute documentary for the New Mexico State Police. A rigorous 18-week training process combined with interviews was featured in the documentary. The documentary and commercial for the New Mexico State Police have received 3 national Aurora Awards and a Telly Award.
In 1998, Ed Smith initiated, marketed and produced the New Mexico “Fire Cam” community campaign. This project introduced a revolutionary imaging device for firefighters to “see” through smoke and to save lives. By the completion of the project and telethon, $200,000 had been raised and 12 FireCams were in use.
After the project, Ed was recognized and awarded by the Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Rio Rancho and Bernalillo County Fire Departments for outstanding contribution to saving lives in New Mexico.
Ed Smith is a member of the Rio Rancho Chamber of Commerce, the American Screenwriters Association, in the New Mexico Film Directory, and is an instructor of Television Production for the City of Rio Rancho. Ed Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio-Television-Film, and a Master of Science Degree.
Kim Smith joined Edit House Productions, LLC in 2005 after a 10-year role at KRQE News 13 in Albuquerque, including more than 5 years as the station's Local Sales Manager. She focuses primarily on marketing, advertising and media strategies for clients and supervises the media buying.
With 25 years of media experience, including 7 years as the owner of an advertising agency in Wichita, KS, Smith has developed campaigns for Pizza Hut, Rent-A-Center and hundreds of locally-owned companies.
Kim has won a number of Addy and Clarus Awards for her work, and has earned the Masters of Arts Degree in Communication and Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication. She previously taught media courses for several universities.
Matt Smith is a production assistant with Edit House Productions, LLC. Smith is a current student in the Rio Rancho public schools. As the product of two television producers, Smith has gained a world of experience in television production. Productions have taken Matt inside the world of the New Mexico State Police, and to the inner offices of New Mexico Bank and Trust.
Matt can always be relied upon to participate in commercial productions and live telecasts of government meetings, where he excels as a remote camera operator. Smith recently earned his certificate from RioVision and is a certified public access producer. Smith is an avid drummer, and is looking forward to performing with a band
Elizabeth Dwyer is Edit House Productions' Station Coordinator of Rio Rancho's Community Access television system, RioVision. Dwyer's other responsibilities include teaching production classes for RioVision Producers and production assistance in commercial advertising for Edit House Productions, LLC.
Dwyer has six years supervisory and teaching experience in Community Television in California. She has produced and edited dozens of community programs, taught and improved course curriculum in film/video production and broadcast system operations for the local occupational program in California.
Dwyer grew up in Albuquerque, earned a BA in Media Arts from the UNM and a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix. Dwyer is a veteran of the US Navy as a Cryptologic Technician, and a reservist in public affairs and journalism.
Kealy Williams, Edit House Productions’ officer manager, was born and raised in New Mexico, and has lived in our state for over 30 years. She is a 1994 Graduate of La Cueva High School. Kealy has managed two gas stations, and was the manager of multiple UPS Stores in both Rio Rancho and Albuquerque. Kealy is a volunteer with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, serving for over ten years and has had FEMA training, as well. Kealy has two loves in her life… her son, Deveron and her husband, Mike.
Mindy Dacus received her Communications degree at the University of Texas at Austin. Beginning as a
film / video editor and script supervisor, she worked for several years in the 80’s and 90’s on movies and television specials for ABC, CBS, and PBS’ in both Dallas and Los Angeles. She was script supervisor on ABC’s “The Wonder Years”; further experience includes Co-Producer and Script Coordinator of The Writers Guild of America Awards Show at the Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. Robert Mitchum, Eva Marie Saint, Jason Robards, Billy Dee Williams, David Carradine, Valerie Bertinelli, Louis Gossett, Jr. and Fred Savage are among many of the Hollywood notables she has worked with.
A recipient of the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women Award, Mindy has written, produced, directed and edited a number of dramatic and documentary films and videos. Highlights include her A.F.I. “For the Love of Mike”; award winning “In Chapter 4 She Loves Me” and “Darwin’s Galapagos”; and pilot / documentary projects for two of South Central L.A.’s youth -- “Operation Jump Start” at Jefferson High School, and “Food From the ‘Hood” at Crenshaw High School. She created, produced and staged the musical revue "Bob Ralston and the Torch Song Divas" featuring Lawrence Welk’s world-renowned keyboardist Bob Ralston and three Los Angeles Opera sopranos, which had a special appearance for Easter at the Hollywood Bowl in 2003.
Mindy and two writing partners were optioned by Brandon Tartikoff at New World Television for “Lush Valley Estates”, a Texas-based television pilot. She also has a musical comedy background, is a singer and public speaker.
Shayne Sawyer brings us over 25 years of production experience. Originally from Los Angeles, Shayne has produced commercials, videos, documentaries and movies for the American and European markets, filming throughout the US, Canada and Europe.
Her skills cover a wide area of expertise in all phases of production, including budgeting, contract negotiations for major stars, contract compliance, and clearances. Shayne is well known for her quality, and for being able to maximize any budget for the best possible results.
A short list of Shayne’s clients include Heineken, Volkswagon, Nestles, Volvo, Amstel, Texaco, Sony, Mazda, Pepsi and World Wildlife Fund. Notably, her work with the WWF achieved awards of excellence at the Cannes Film Festival.
Most recently, Edit House Productions charged Shayne with the hire and the oversight of film crews in nine different countries around the world to gather materials for a single documentary. Despite differences in time, language, equipment, and yes, sometimes philosophies, this project came in on time, and within budget.
