Edit House Wins VIVA Award

(RIO RANCHO, NEW MEXICO) Rio Rancho’s Edit House Productions, LLC was one of six New Mexico companies recently honored by the Association of Commerce and Industry (ACI) with the VIVA award.

ACI functions as a statewide chamber of commerce. VIVA stands for vision, investment, vitality and action. Each year, the awards recognize businesses that demonstrate a unique vision, investment in employees and community, vitality through growth, and action to make New Mexico a better place to live.

Edit House Productions, LLC is an advertising agency and media production company, producing marketing campaigns for businesses in New Mexico and around the United States. The company’s philosophy is to be an interface between clients (businesses or organizations) and consumers, providing information in a creative, ethical and interesting manner to increase each clients’ stature in the community.

The company was nominated for the award by Judi Snow, Director of the Rio Rancho Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Now in its eighth year, Edit House Productions LLC employs 6 full-time employees and several part-time staff. Owners Ed and Kim Smith are also active in community groups such as the Rio Rancho Regional Chamber of Commerce, Sunrise Rotary, Rio Rancho Film Commission, the Executive Association of Greater Rio Rancho, and High Desert United Methodist Church.

The New Mexico Business Weekly lists the company as the state’s #2 Film and Video Production Company in 2007, up from #8 in 2006 and #10 in 2005.

Since its origination, they have added several additional services, such as mass duplication of DVDs or CDs, and the management of RioVision, the City of Rio Rancho’s public access television channels. Under the guidance of Edit House, RioVision was named one of the “Top 10 Things to Get Excited about in Rio Rancho” by Albuquerque the Magazine in June 2007.

Edit House Productions LLC is the third Rio Rancho business to win the award in its 12-year history, joining Energy Controls and Lectrosonics.
