“Adventure Rio”, a locally-produced educational television series shot on location at the Albuquerque BioPark, will now be seen regularly on RioVision, Rio Rancho’s Community Access TV, on cable channel 15.
“We’ve scheduled the programs to air on each Saturday and Sunday at 10am and each Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 6pm,” said Ed Smith, owner of Edit House Productions, LLC, the company who manages RioVision TV for the City of Rio Rancho. “We’re very excited to bring programs of this quality to RioVision.”
“Adventure Rio” won three Emmy awards and is syndicated in over 20 countries around the world. Produced by Chris Schueler, the program focuses on animals, their habitat, and how the species interact.
Schueler has won 17 Rocky Mountain Emmy © Awards for directing and producing documentaries and television specials. He was the creator of the nationally syndicated teen news project, “News 101”, as well as the internationally syndicated animal adventure television series, “Adventure Rio”. In the past two decades, Schueler has created over 100 television shows and specials that have been broadcast on the PBS Network, The Classroom Channel, in over 100 syndicated domestic markets and 35 countries. Schueler has directed documentaries and film production in the Middle East, Asia, Africa and Central America. He is an avid scuba diver and private pilot.
The programs originally aired on KRQE News 13. The station and the Albuquerque BioPark have granted RioVision TV rights for playback.
