(RIO RANCHO, NEW MEXICO) Edithouse Productions, LLC of Rio Rancho has won three Aurora Awards for excellence in television production. Edithouse Productions, LLC has won Best of Show in the category of long-format production for their production of “Becoming an Officer”, a 30 minute documentary that followed the rigorous 18-week training course of the New Mexico State Police; a gold award for cinematography for the same project; a gold award for commercial production for the New Mexico State Police.
The Aurora Award is presented for excellence in national-level television production. Edithouse Productions, LLC provides a variety of television production services ranging from writing and video photography, to animation and post-production and DVD authoring. Begun as a
home-based business in 2000, Edithouse Productions, LLC is owned by Ed Smith employs additional production staff.
The company produces long-format educational, training and documentary programs, as well as television commercials for clients such as the NM State Police, Z-Coil Footwear, Academy Furniture in Corrales, Hearing Health Care Center and many others.
Ed Smith's experience in television production dates back to 1983. Over the years his television experience has included production management and all phases of production for Fortune 500 Companies such as Pizza Hut, Inc, Rent-A-Center, Thorn EMI, and Cessna Aircraft Corporation-- as well as hundreds of local and regional clients. In addition, Smith has been involved in numerous live televised events for NBC, CBS, ESPN and Creative Sports Marketing. Smith is also an instructor of video production for the City of Rio Rancho’s PEG Channel 51.
